Kelley Farm Wedding

Taylor & Ally

An Elegant Outdoor Summer Wedding

at the Kelley Farm

On the morning of her wedding at Kelley Farm, Ally got ready in a floral silk robe in the bridal cottage. The cottage at Kelley Farm is full of vintage charm, including a dressing table with oval mirror where I styled ally’s accessories. She wore red soled christian louboutin wedding shoes that were a gift from her bridesmaid. Ally posed for a few photos on the shabby chic 4 poster bed and then out on the front porch of the bridal cottage with her bridesmaids. Then it was time to get dressed in her wedding gown. Her mama helped her into the simple sheath gown, then they both got emotional when Ally gifted her mom a book. After collecting herself, she gifted her dad an embroidered handkerchief for the tears he would later cry during his daughters wedding ceremony. Ally did a few bridal photos around the cottage and then we made our way over to the barn for their first look. We positioned Taylor in the doorway of the barn with the twinkling glitter of the chandeliers framing the background of their wedding photos. The Kelley Farm is has the BEST chandeliers of any wedding venue I’ve photographed in the greater seattle area. They had an emotional first look that included tears & hand written love notes from each. We captured bride & groom photos in that spot, including a stunning veill toss shot that’s a signature for a B. Jones wedding. Next, we gathered their bridal party for some joyful group photos! The bridesmaids glowed in taupe azazie bridesmaid dresses while the groomsmen looked GQ ready in navy suits. After wrapping up photos, it was time for Ally to hang out in the bridal cottage at Kelley Farm as the guests began to arrive. The flower girl entertained the guests as they arrived with her hula hoop skills. Ally & Taylor graciously had a table loaded with kid activities for their littlest guests. The ceremony was on the lawn overlooking the valley at Kelley Farm. During the ceremony, Parents, the couple & the bridal party shed tears, laughter and long looks. After exchanging rings, vows & a first kiss as husband and wife, the two walked back up the aisle as their guests gave them a bubble exit. The reception took place in the chandelier lit barn at Kelley Farm.

The couple shared a classic assortment of wedding reception activities:

  • Hilarious and sweet toasts from friends & family

  • A joyful first dance

  • 2 emotional parent dances

  • The cutting of the wedding cake

  • Sunset photos!

Sunset photos are always one of the best parts of the wedding day for the couples and I. They are easily the most beautiful photos of the wedding day because the light is soft & flattering. Additionally, the couple is at their most relaxed after ‘the hard part’ of getting married is done. All that’s left is a party with friends and few snuggles with their gorgeous new partner! After the sun went down at Kelley Farm, the DJ cranked the music and the dance party got lit!

“What are your Old, New, Borrowed & Blue items?

Old & borrowed- handkerchief embroidered by great grandma. Thinking about having this somewhere on my bouquet

Blue- blue on the back of my earrings

New- not sure yet!”
