Lynell & Cole's Intimate Modern Coastal Wedding in Burien

Nestled on a grassy bluff overlooking Puget Sound, Lynell and Cole’s modern coastal wedding in Burien was nothing short of magical. This intimate backyard wedding in Seattle was a perfect blend of elegance, tradition, and heartfelt moments, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of the ocean.

Getting Ready for their wedding day

Lynell started her day in the master suite, which offered stunning views of Puget Sound. She slipped into an exquisite off-the-shoulder, long-sleeve lace and tulle gown by Milla Nova, from Christinnas Bridal. With Christy K Makeup & Hair working their magic, Lynell, her maid of honor, and both moms were picture-perfect. The bridal look was completed with dazzling diamonds brought from India, adding a touch of cultural heritage to the ensemble. Lynell’s mother, resplendent in a traditional red and gold silk chiffon saree, symbolized love, celebration, and the beginning of a new journey.

The Furry Friends

Neo and Frankie, the couple’s adorable Australian shepherds, were dressed to the nines in tiny tuxes, shadowing the newlyweds throughout the day. Their presence added a layer of warmth and charm to this already heartwarming celebration.

Wedding Photos

The first look was a moment to remember, with Puget Sound providing a stunning backdrop. The couple also took photos with the groom’s stepfather’s vintage car, adding a touch of nostalgia to their modern coastal wedding.

Ceremony

On a sunny day—one of those rare Seattle days without a single cloud in the sky—Lynell and Cole exchanged vows on a grassy bluff overlooking the ocean. The bride humorously noted the rarity of such perfect weather. The ceremony space was adorned with modern white roses and baby’s breath arrangements by The Petal and Stem Floral Boutique, attached to sleek gold metal floral rectangles. The aisle was lined with baby’s breath bouquets tied to modern chameleon chairs with white suede cushions from CORT Wedding Rentals, and rose petal confetti filled the air with their summery aroma. Adding a personal touch, the groom’s grandfather officiated the ceremony.

Cocktail Hour on the Bluff
Guests mingled and relaxed on lounge seating under white umbrellas, enjoying traditional Indian food. The upper deck, partially shaded by white umbrellas, offered a fine dining setup with gold-rimmed plates and cutlery. A sumptuous buffet of Indian cuisine, expertly handled by Party on the Rocks, ensured that the family could enjoy the celebration without any stress.

The Reception

Toasts were given, glasses clinked, and throughout the day, Neo and Frankie were never far from the bride and groom. As Lynell finally settled into her seat next to Cole, little Frankie made himself comfortable on her train, content to be part of the celebration. The evening continued with the shoe game on the lawn, followed by the couple’s first dance with ocean views and the enchanting sunset as their backdrop. The groom danced with his mother, and Lynell shared a heartfelt dance with her father. As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in vibrant hues, the night came to a perfect close.

Lynell and Cole’s wedding was a beautiful fusion of modern elegance and traditional Indian elements, set in a picturesque coastal setting. This intimate backyard wedding in Seattle was truly a celebration of love, family, and cherished memories.
