Villa Academy Ceremony and Waterfront Reception

We started the day at Kathleen’s family home on the hill overlooking the seattle waterfront and only a few blocks from the church where they would be married later that day,

St. Anne’s Chapel at Villa Academy

Kathleen spent her childhood in this neighborhood and was a student at Villa Academy. After a Kathleen and her bridal squad finished hair & makeup, we clinked champagne glasses and headed over to Villa Academy for the first look, some bridal party photos and the ceremony.

During the bride & groom portraits, we had a surprise visit from the couples golden doodle. EEE! the cutest doggo!!

After the ceremony, the couple descended the steps in front of Villa Academy through a flurry of bubbles.

Their reception was at my favorite waterfront kirkland wedding venue,

The Woodmark Hotel

The party started in the tent overlooking Lake Washington. Sailboats cruised by as their guests enjoyed cocktails & lawn games. With the gorgeous scenery, we knew we wanted to double up on photos and do round two of couples portraits, bridal party photos & family photos on the docks & pathways in front of the lake.

Later, the reception moved into the ballroom & Headsmile productions got the party rockin!
